Alan Wolkoff, D.M.D.

A native of Beacon, New York, I received my B.A. degree magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh in 1972. I graduated from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine in 1977 with honors. While a student at University of Pittsburgh I met my future wife Elaine who is a practicing speech-language pathologist with a specialty in orofacial myology. I am a member of the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association, and the Greater Waterbury Dental Society.

I have been practicing dentistry at 93 Wedgewood Drive, Waterbury, Connecticut since August of 1978. The success of providing over 35 years of dental care is a combination of treating the dental needs of a large demographic including all ages, a multicultural patient base, and provision of a wide range of dental treatment options. Our staff is well educated regarding the latest dental treatments and we are continually updating our technology to provide the best services possible. Our casual, caring environment has attracted several generations within the same family which adds a special quality to our practice.

When not practicing dentistry, Elaine and I spend as much time as possible with our growing family. We are the proud parents of three sons, one grandson, and are expecting the birth of a granddaughter in April 2014. I am an enthusiastic NY MET fan, enjoy movies, theater, playing guitar, and attending folk concerts. We enjoy trips to Ocean City, Md and other beach destinations.

Cynthia Taylor, D.M.D.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, I attended the State University of New York at Albany. I received a B.S. degree in Biology and graduated with cum laude honors. I then moved to Connecticut to attend the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington, graduating in May 1988. It was there that I met my husband, David, who was my classmate. David is an endodontist in Avon and West Hartford.

We live in the Farmington valley and have 2 sons. Our oldest son, Dan, attends the University of Connecticut in Storrs. Our youngest, Alex, is in high school.

I have been practicing as an associate dentist in Dr. Alan Wolkoff’s office since February of 1989.

I am a member of the Hartford Dental Society, the Connecticut State Dental Association and the American Dental Association. I take extensive continuing education every year to stay up to date on all the latest developments in dentistry. I especially enjoy a monthly 7 hour course on varying topics given by the CSDA.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. We particularly love to cheer on the UCONN Huskies basketball and football teams. I also enjoy biking the rails to trails, walking my dogs and ballroom dancing with my husband.
